Last seen at approximately 7:30 PM, Jason disappeared into the Nevada wilderness known as The Strip.

For the next 15½ hours, his whereabouts were completely unknown.

At approximately 11:00 AM the following morning, Jason was located at the Cosmopolitan sportsbook holding a bottle of wine and displaying a level of confidence that authorities would later describe as "concerning."

Eyewitness reports soon flooded in:

• Seen in multiple casinos at the same time
• Received cheers from complete strangers after successfully climbing a staircase
• Allegedly became friends with half of Las Vegas
• Acquired stories he still cannot explain
• Left a trail of Keno tickets visible from space
